Order policy for online shop customers

General order policy

Upon making your order, please do provide an email address where we can reach you if required. Please make sure you enter it correctly. This is where we will send you your order confirmation, payment receipt and information on how to track your order status. If you need to make a correction please email us to order@ecofemme.org.

We process and post your order within 1-3 working days of you making your order. Local holidays apply.

All online discount offers are for personal use customers only.

If you order a large quantity of items in our online shop, we will contact you before processing your order. Decisions on large quantities are subjective to individual cases.

If you have interest to become a retailer of our products, please contact us on sales@ecofemme.org for the product catalogue with whole sale price and for bulk orders.

Your payment

For the billing address, please enter the address the bank card was registered for, if you intend to make the payment with a bank card. This is to make sure that your bank accepts your payment.

You have several options to make your payment. At the order checkout our website will direct you through secure payment gateways where you can pay:

  • with credit card, debit card (only if issued in India), Internet banking (for Indian banks only), PayTM, RuPay, UPI, etc. through CCAvenue
  • PayPal is currently not available in our online shop, due to changes in their system. We are in the process of reinstalling it.
  • with PayPal, where you can log into your account if you have one, or can sign up as a new user.
Prices in converted currencies

Please note, when you choose to display the prices in a currency other than Indian Rupees, these currency conversions are for estimated informational purposes only. The converted prices displayed on our website are by Yahoo! Finance. When you purchase from our online shop, your payment gateway might use a different conversion rate and transaction fees, which can result in a different amount taken from your account. Please check with your bank before making a purchase.

Your order confirmation / invoice

Once you have completed your payment, you will receive an order confirmation to the email id you provided when making your order. Please check if the details are correct. For corrections, email us to order@ecofemme.org. * If you did not receive any email from us, please do also check your spam-mail just in case. If it is not there either, then it is possible that you made a typing mistake when you entered your email id into our system. Please contact us at order@ecofemme.org.

You will receive a payment confirmation directly from the payment gateway you chose: If you pay via CCAvenue, you will receive a payment confirmation directly from CCAvenue to the email id that you provided when making your order. If you pay via PayPal, you will receive a payment confirmation directly from PayPal to the email account you have provided to them. Please do also check your spam-mail just in case.

To support eco-friendly purposes, we do not include a printed invoice in your shipment.

 

Cancelling or changing your order before shipment

You can cancel or change your order if you contact us before it is shipped. Email us to order@ecofemme.org, stating the reason. Refund processes and time depend on the banking method you chose.

Cancelling your order after shipment

If you wish to send back your order, you have 45 days (from the date of purchase) to ask for a refund and mail us back the unused products (mailing costs at your charge). Please note that the refund will only happen once we receive the products at our office. You will not receive a refund on the transport cost. Incorrect address policy

You are responsible for making sure that you provide an accurate shipping address when you make your order in the online shop. This is the address we will use to post your order. In case you notice that the shipping address you provided is incorrect, i.e. when you review your order confirmation email, please contact us immediately at order@ecofemme.org.

In case your parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect address provided by you, we can repost it at your expense. Reshipment is only available once your parcel has been returned to us.

Unclaimed parcel policy

In case your parcel is returned to us because you did not keep track of claiming it in time before your local post office sends it back, we ask you to bear the extra costs. Reshipment is only available once your parcel has been returned to us.

Customer complaints

We hope you’ll be satisfied with your Eco Femme pads! However, in the event that you experience a problem with your purchase, we ask you to let us know the reason of your discontent so that we can find the best solution for you. To make suggestions contact us by email at order@ecofemme.org.

If you have purchased Eco Femme products from a re-seller, we do not accept returns nor offer replacement. In this event, visit or contact the store where you purchased the products.

Shipping and delivery policy

Shipment

Orders are mailed in Eco Femme environment-friendly carton envelopes or plain shipping boxes, depending on the size of your order, and with Eco Femme’s return address noted on the item.

Orders are mailed through India Post Service to all destinations in your name, and international addressees will receive their parcel through the national post service of their country. This means that upon making your order you are aware of this and you agree that liability for your parcel (i.e. for delay or loss) lies with the Post Service from the moment it is handed over to them. You can support the smooth arrival by tracking your parcel yourself regularly.

Shipping confirmation

Once your parcel is shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email to the email id that you provided when you made your order. Please do also check your spam-mail just in case. This email contains the information you need to track the delivery status of your parcel: the Registration / Tracking / Consignment  Number and the instructions on how to check its delivery status. You can track through the India Post Service, or via Global Track And Trace, or via the online tracking system of your national post service. We would be happy that you receive your order smoothly. You can support this by tracking your parcel yourself regularly.

Delivery point

Your parcel will be delivered by your national post service to the shipping address you provided when you made your order. Because the orders are posted as ‘registered letter’, the delivery handover usually requires a signature from the addressee, and the parcel cannot be left in your letter box.

  • If nobody is present at the delivery address at the time of delivery, the delivery person might try to deliver it again another day, or will leave a note, asking you to pick it up yourself from your local post office. You can check for this note in your letter box.
  • If you are unsure about the delivery status of your parcel, then track your parcel online for more information and check in with your local post office. You can also check if it was delivered to your neighbours.
  • If the tracking information shows that delivery attempted was attempted unsuccessfully, then contact your local post office.

To find your local post office within India, check India Post “locate post office”

  • If you receive notice that your parcel is waiting for you to pick it up at your local post office, please do soon. We would be happy that you receive your order smoothly and avoid that your parcel is returned to us upon not having been picked up for too long and additional shipping charges for you in case we have to send it to you again.
Approximate shipping time for destination within India

India Post speed-post gives a time frame of 2-7 business days. Local holidays apply.

Approximate shipping time for destination outside of India

India Post Service gives a time frame of 10 to 15 business days for international registered parcels. Local holidays apply.

Our experience is, that the parcels leave India within 2-3 days after we send them out of the Eco Femme office.

Note: India Post Service has no influence on shipping timing or custom clearance timing within the country of destination.

  • Currently the parcels sent to Italy are taking a long time with Italy Post.
  • In some cases in Germany and France the custom service takes 1-2 weeks to release parcels to Deutsche Post / La Poste France.
  • We have observed that some parcels going to the UK take a little more time.

* You can support a smooth delivery by tracking your parcel and if you see information that your parcel is in customs, you can contact your local post office for information about how to get your parcel.

In case after 18 business days the post service tracking does not show information that the parcel was delivered, we will send an email to the customer, to check in. Please check your spam folder.

For the countries US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Belgium whose post services do not update the tracking information, we generally send a check in email after 15 business days to confirm the arrival. Please check your spam folder.

Check the status of your order
  1. order successful: Once your payment is completed, you will receive an order confirmation to the email id you provided when you made your order. Please make sure you enter an accurate email ID. If you have signed up for a user account on our online shop, then you can sign in to follow your order status.
  2. order shipped: Once your order has been shipped you will receive a shipping confirmation. This usually happens 1-3 business days after your order confirmation. Local holidays apply.
  3. delivery status: You can track your parcel with the details provided in the shipping confirmation: the Registration / Tracking / Consignment Number and the instructions on how to check its delivery status. You can track through the India Post “mail service”, or via Global Track And Trace, or via the online tracking system of your national post service.

* Note: The international post tracking system is currently not working for US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Belgium.

* If you did not receive any emails from us, please do also check your spam-mail just in case. If it is not there, then it is possible that you made a typing mistake when you entered your email id into our system. Please contact us at order@ecofemme.org.

Shipping expenses

For shipping destinations within India with a purchase value above INR 400, the posting through India Post Service is already included. For purchases below INR 400, shipping expenses INR 50 apply.

For shipping destinations outside of India, the shipping expenses through India Post Service are included for all purchases.

* In case your parcel is returned to us because the address you supplied was incorrect or you did not keep track of claiming it from your local post office in time before they send it back, we ask you to bear the extra costs. We are a social enterprise where our profits go into social educational programs on menstruation. We preserve our margin to support these programs and hope you understand and support us.

Customs fees for delivery destinations outside of India

While in general, this does not happen to the parcels we send, your parcel may be subject to customs or duty fees upon arrival in your country. Customs policies vary from country to country and fees can be charged for parcels exceeding a certain value. Please keep this in mind at the time of purchase. If in doubt, please check yourself with your local post office prior to ordering. Eco Femme does not bear responsibility for this: You are responsible for any customs or duty fees on your order and Eco Femme cannot grant refunds.

Lost package policy
In case after 18 days you have not received your order, please:
  1. track your parcel online, and
  2. check with your local post office and neighbors to locate it, maybe it was delivered in your absence,
  3. do feel free to get in touch with us.

Parcels are considered lost if they don’t reach within 21 working days after shipment. If that is the case, please contact us regarding your order at order@ecofemme.org.

Our commitment to privacy

Your privacy is important to us. To make you feel how we, Eco Femme, protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.

The information we collect

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on our website. On some pages, you can order products, make requests, and register to receive materials. The types of personal information collected at these pages are:

  • Name
  • Address
  • E-mail address
  • Phone number
How we use information

We, Eco Femme, use the information you provide about yourself when placing an order only to complete that order. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order.

We use return e-mail addresses to answer the e-mail we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

You can register with our website if you would like to receive our newsletter as well as updates on our new products and services. Information you submit on our website will not be used for this purpose unless you fill out the registration form.

Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

Data security and our service providers

To run our online shop we, Eco Femme, use 3 different service providers. WooCommerce is the platform on which the eshop runs while PayPal and CCAvenue are the payment gateways. Those service providers won’t use your personal data after your purchase with us.
